Riverbay is a OK establishment there are pro's and con's so here they are
CONS; stuck up manager the wait staff isn't to knowledgeable on the menu and i feel that they rush you out .
PRO'S; Cesar salad very good sushi bar. Crab cakes, Bronzino (which you don't see alot on menus ) Decent wine list approx. 70 wines anywhere from $20 to $98. large bar very busy bar area 2-3 deep at the bar while waiting for dinner, but fast service at the bar . The apple strudel is very good as well

BROOKS & PORTER STEAK HOUSE

BROOKS & PORTER STEAK HOUSE
16 MERRICK AVENUE MERRICK NY 11566
(516) 379-9400 http://www.brooksandporter.com/

This upscale eatery is fairly new to the island . The wait staff of Brooks & Porter is very knowledgeable about the menu and can answer all the questions you have about it , weather it be what type cut of meat should i order to what wine would best accompany that cut .
The last time i was there i had the B & P seafood platter ( which consists of Maine lobster, large gulf shrimp,Maryland lump crab meat ,little neck clams as well as Cherry Stones and some American Oysters ) .. this is very good its priced accordingly and wont disappoint . A few of the other stars on the menu include the slab bacon as an appetizer salty and crispy , the bone in rib eye medium should not be missed . The double cut lamb chops are very good as well , also recommended is the skirt steak with fried onions . They have a raw bar on premises that is second to none .Go and enjoy a nice dinner but first stop by the bar and have a drink alot of hustle and bustle at the bar worth the trip

PHIL'S OF SYOSSET

PHIL'S OF SYOSSET PIZZERIA & RESTAURANT
LOCATED @ 265 JERICHO TPKE. SYOSSET NY
(516) 364-6900 (516) 364-6911
http://www.philspizzeria.com/
This restaurant is awesome the food the service is just as good , the portions are enormous and the price is right I think what makes this place run so smoothly is the fact that the owners are always there no matter what day or time one of them is always there , they oversee every plate that leaves the kitchen if its not perfect it goes back . The perfection in the kitchen shows when you get your entree or salad what ever it may be you know it will be magnificent !
Some of the items on the menu that are a must try are the fried calamari , as well as the calamari arabiata which is fried calamari tossed in a hot cherry pepper marinara ,Rocco's pork chops ,veal with chestnuts chicken Capri . Let me start to explain the pizza selection of the restaurant there has to be anywhere from 25-35 different types of pizza on the counter made fresh everyday from regular to Sicilian , grandma ,balsamic chicken( fresh mozzarella Roma tomatoes grilled chicken in a balsamic vinegar glaze that is out of this world ) whole wheat pizza , the list is endless the pizza counter has to be every bit of 35 feet long with two tiers of pizza on it AMAZING !!! Is the only word that describes my experience at this restaurant .
Reservation are suggested on Friday,Saturday & Sunday nights. I'm telling you its worth the ride to Phil's of Syosset
